We are an Adelaide based dermatology clinic offering a patient-centred approach in treating all skin, hair and nail conditions. These include acne, eczema, psoriasis and other inflammatory skin diseases, contact dermatitis, hair and scalp disorders as well as skin cancer checks.
We are experienced in caring for patients of all ages and enjoy offering continuity of care to many clients in the community.
For new and existing patients we are available for essential medical services including skin cancer review and surgery, as well as urgent assessment of serious or worsening skin conditions. We ask all patients to not attend the rooms if you are currently unwell or undertaking quarantine/self isolation per the current Government regulations. This includes those who have arrived from overseas, cruise ships or interstate in the last 14 days. We also request that you delay your appointment if you have had a close contact with a Covid-19 patient or suspected patient.
If you are in a high risk age group and do not feel your appointment is urgent, please call and reschedule.
We are able to offer telehealth consultations where appropriate to assess and manage skin conditions. These can include but are not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation and hair loss disorders. Please call the rooms on 7099 0190 if you have a valid referral and would be keen to pursue this. This can extend patients in country areas also.
We are currently being mindful of social distancing practices for all face-to-face consultations and are wearing masks, gloves and scrubs while consulting and operating. The health and safety of our staff, patients and ourselves (as well as our and your families) is of our utmost priority, as we all work together to reduce the transmission of the corona virus.
A sincere thank you to all of our patients and staff for complying with this and helping us navigate this unprecedented time.
Please stay safe and well!
Dr Emma Haverhoek and Dr Rachel Manifold
What is a Dermatologist?
Dermatology is a medical specialty focused on diagnosing and treating diseases of the skin, hair and nails. To qualify as a dermatologist in Australia, one must complete a medical degree and later gain entry into the highly competitive dermatology specialist training program. This is a four year postgraduate program encompassing all medical, surgical and cosmetic aspects of dermatology. In the final year of training a multifaceted fellowship examination is held over several days. It is compulsory to pass all aspects of this to ensure the highest level of competence before being admitted as a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
